Geeeez .... the more I learn about this place called the InterNet/web/cyberspace ...the more I am made aware of just how little I know !!

The little girl in the header is just cute as a button, isn't she ??!!  Yeah ...... ok, she is cute .... but .... where the  *h-e- double toothpicks*  is the calendar that she is suppose to display !!?? 

 HTML codes .... for sure, it was contrived for the sole purpose of driving old women bonkers !!  AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaargh !!  It is obvious that I did NOT code that little 'calendar girl' correctly.  I tried, and I tried !  And still she will not show the calendar !  OOOOOwwwwww .... My head hurts.  And I give up !!  That cutie can just sit up there and blink and never display even one day or month.  I  do not care !!  I really, really don't.  You want to know what month or day it is ??!!  Well ... then, go get one of those good old fashioned varieties .... you know the ones.   Hardcopies !!  You can 'touch' them !!  Hang them on your walls ... set them on your desks ..... even put them in your 'day planners' , [which is something I never had, never wanted my time THAT well organized !!]  where was I ??  ....oh yeah .... calendars !!  Paper calendars !!  Kill that tree !!  Make me a calendar that I can SEE !!!   <end of rant>

And here is something else I am learning about ....... spyware/adware/malware..... all those nice little programs that sneak into your 'puter and really mess with ya !   Long story short >>> I went to a site, one recommender by a 'friend',  and in order to view the site properly I was to allow this Active X program to be downloaded ... ok ... fine ... I had done this before.  But .... this time when I clicked "ok"  my SpyBuster program went bezerk !!  Seems this Active X was bundled with some really nasty programs !!  They climbed into my 'puter so fast that my defense was unable to stop them !!  When it all calmed down I had a Trojan ....3 ad/spyware programs ....  one that was not only adware but also a browser hijacker !!   OMG !!  Is that 'friend' lucky I can not reach 'em ??!!  OOOhhhh ya !!  Sooo .... I spent hours learning {?} about these nasties and how to eradicate them.  Well .... thanks to  this new 'knowledge' .... and a bizzillion 'cleansing' steps ... all are gone .... but ...... ONE !!  It is called SurfSideKick .... and I hate it to pieces !!  One portion of this nasty program calls itself a BrowserHelperObject .... hahahahahaaha .... nice name for a browser hijacker !!  The PIG that created it should be slathered in honey and buried in an ant hill !!   So ... yes ! .... it still resides in my 'puter ..... as quickly as it is wiped out it reinstalls itself.  And after more hours spent searching for the solution to this problem of mine .... I have discovered that perhaps the only way to KILL it once and for all is to boot in Safe Mode and run ALL 5 of my cleansing programs again ... plus 2 more that were recommended be downloaded and used !!  And .... I will do this, but ....not today.  Today I will deal with the popups, that none of my 3 popup blockers can stop .... and I will be taken, by my hijacked browser, to sites never viewed by anyone that WANTED to go to them !!

Isn't this virtual world just full of surprises !!  And ..... yes .... Mama told me there would be days like this .... but, I guess she forgot to mention that they would be unending !!

HTML codes give me fits ... and I sure would not waste my few remaining brain cells on coding that phrase to a link.  Must be another 'benefit' of SurfSideKick !!  Ohhh geeez, oh geez ..... somebody shoot me NOW !! }
